Power and lighting plans
Device layout, circuiting and homerun routing on the architectural background, with switching shown the way it will actually be wired. Lighting is laid out against the fixture schedule and the energy code, so the compliance sheet is not written after the fact to match whatever got drawn.
Panels, risers and load calculations
Panel schedules with connected and demand load, a riser diagram from the service entrance down, and a service load calculation a plan reviewer can follow line by line. Where the existing service is undersized for the new load, that shows up in the calculation rather than on inspection day.
Drawn to the NEC as New Jersey adopts it
New Jersey adopts the National Electrical Code with its own amendments under N.J.A.C. 5:23, and municipalities enforce the edition currently in force rather than the newest one published. We draw to the adopted edition and note it on the sheet.
