Architectural drafting services

Drafting is the part of a project where hours disappear and margin goes with them. We take it off your desk: permit sets, as-built documentation, redline pickups and full construction documents, produced to your standards and delivered in your file format.

For architects and design firms

We work inside your title block, your layer standard and your detail library, so what comes back looks like your office drew it. Overflow capacity for a deadline, or a standing arrangement for the production sheets that do not need a licensed hand on them.

For builders and contractors

Most contractors do not need a full architectural engagement — they need a permit-ready set for an addition, a deck, a finished basement or a change of use. We draw that set, run the code analysis it needs, and hand it over ready to file with the municipality.

As-built and existing conditions

Renovation work in New Jersey rarely comes with usable existing drawings. We measure the building, model what is there, and produce the existing-conditions sheets the rest of the set depends on — including the ones a plan reviewer will compare against the tax record.

Common questions

Do I need an architect, or is drafting enough?
In New Jersey many residential projects — additions, alterations, decks, finished basements — can be filed with drawings prepared under the exemptions in N.J.A.C. 13:27. Work that changes the structure of a commercial building, or that the building department flags, needs a licensed architect or engineer to seal it. We tell you which category you are in before you commit to anything.
Can you match our office CAD standard?
Yes. Send the template, the layer standard and one recent set as a reference; the first package comes back for a standards check before we run the rest of the sheets.
How is drafting work priced?
By the sheet for defined scopes such as a permit set, and hourly for open-ended production or redline work. Both are quoted in writing before anything starts.
